Got a question, problem, or puzzle you can’t figure. I can help, but first let me tell you a little bit about how that works

Imagine having a space where you can be completely yourself, without worrying about what others think. That’s what I’m here to offer you in therapy. My approach is all about meeting you where you’re at, and using evidenced based therapy skills rooted in  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you achieve your goals.

But therapy isn’t just about talking about your problems – it’s about finding real solutions and taking action towards a happier life. Together, we’ll work on building your skills and confidence in areas like:

  • Clearly expressing your needs and feelings
  • Managing stress and anxiety
  • Developing healthier relationships
  • Achieving your goals and living a more fulfilling life

My goal is to help you and give you real life tools and strategies for the change you’re looking for. I’ll guide you every step of the way, but ultimately, you’re in the driver’s seat. You’ll learn how to take control of your thoughts, feelings, and actions, and make conscious choices that align with your values and goals.

In our sessions, we’ll have real conversations and work through different ways to approach life that will help you make more connections with your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of yourself and develop the skills you need to break free from patterns and habits that are holding you back.

The result? A more authentic, confident, and fulfilling life. Let’s get started on this journey together!

What can you tell me about
Individual Therapy?

Life can be overwhelming at times, and it’s completely normal to feel like you’re struggling to keep up. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, or simply feeling stuck, it’s amazing how often we can find ourselves wondering if this is really the life we’re meant to be living. Maybe you’re feeling like you’re just going through the motions, maybe you’re in the middle of a major life change, perhaps something unexpected or traumatic happened. Whatever it is individual counseling is the place and space to talk about what’s going on.

Through our conversations, I’ll help you connect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to change what’s going on for the better. We’ll work together to develop the tools and strategies you need to break free from what’s holding you back. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, improve your relationships, or simply find more joy and fulfillment in your daily life, I’m ready to walk with you toward that change.

I’m looking for relationship counseling

Building a strong and loving relationship takes work, commitment, and communication. Whether you’re married, in a long-term partnership, or navigating the ups and downs of a new relationship, couples therapy can provide the support and guidance you need to thrive. In our sessions, I’ll draw on the latest insights from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family systems theory to help you and your partner identify and address the underlying patterns and dynamics that are impacting your relationship.

Through guided conversations, exercises, and reflections, you’ll learn how to communicate more effectively, build and maintain trust, navigate conflicts and challenges with greater ease and empathy, and cultivate deeper emotional intimacy and understanding. My approach is centered on empowering you both to become more effective communicators, active listeners, and supportive partners. I’ll provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your relationship and grow together, helping you build a stronger, more loving relationship that brings joy and fulfillment to your lives.

My family and I need some help. How does that work?

Family life can be a rich source of love, support, and connection, but it can also be a complex and challenging journey. When issues arise, they can affect everyone involved, causing tension, conflict, and stress. Family therapy provides a safe and supportive space for open communication, understanding, and growth, helping you navigate the ups and downs of family life.

Whether you’re facing a specific crisis, such as a child’s behavioral issues, or ongoing conflicts that are creating tension at home, our family systems approach can help. This therapy brings everyone together to identify and address the patterns and dynamics that may be contributing to dysfunction. By fostering healthier interactions and understanding each family member’s role, we can help you reconnect, support one another, and build a more loving and resilient family unit.

What can I expect when I work with you?

When we work together my hope is that you’ll be able to be yourself. I’m easy going and ready to simply help. When we work together, we’ll do our best to figure out what’s holding you back and develop a plan together that actually work for you. I’ll help you tap into your strengths and resilience, and we’ll find ways to tackle challenges that feel overwhelming.

Together, we’ll break down big problems into smaller, manageable pieces. We’ll set realistic goals and work towards them, step by step. You’ll learn new skills, tips, and tricks and strategies to help solve some of those problems or puzzles that brought us to work together. We’ll be sure to have a laugh, have real conversations, and sometimes talk about things that may be important to you that may come up in our time together. The end goal is to help you develop the confidence and skills you need to take control of your life and achieve your goals.

Do you provide faith based counseling?

If your faith is an important part of your life, I can incorporate Christian Counseling or faith based counseling in your sessions. We’ll do it at your pace and incorporate in ways that honor your therapy journey. I’m here to support you, not to judge or push a particular agenda. Faith-based counseling is a service I offer for those who want to explore how their spiritual beliefs can inform and guide their healing journey.

We can use a variety of spiritual practices such as scripture, prayer, and meditation to help you find comfort, guidance, and strength as you navigate life’s challenges. We can do this in a way that feels authentic and meaningful to you, and we’ll explore how your spiritual values can help you achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life.
