My depression is getting worse. It’s ruining my life, my relationships, and it’s affecting my work
Depression sucks! It’s like someone is sucking the life and energy out of you. Every day it’s rinse, recycle, repeat. One crappy day on top of another. It’s difficult to get up in the morning, let alone go to work and live any normal kind of life.
At first it was hard for you to realize how bad it was. The depression slowly crept up on you. As a result you now feel stuck. You go days or weeks without talking to people. Whole weekends are spent on the couch or in bed. You eat and/or sleep too much or too little. Tears and feelings of loneliness will not go away. You want to have fun and laugh with family and friends. However, it doesn’t happen.
Meanwhile, your confidence and self-esteem are low. Even though working out is good, it’s not helping. Eating differently, reading self-help books, going for walks… However, nothing is working. Each time you wake up and realize is going to be the same again. You sigh and tell yourself “OK, here we go again. I’m so tired of this! I just want to be normal and happy again…”
We know depression can sometimes be too much to handle on your own. Therefore, reach out to us now and schedule a free consultation with one of our Great Lakes Wellness Counseling therapists. Our depression counseling experts can help.

What type of thinking is associated with depression?
Common Depression Symptoms
At some point in life, everyone experiences a bit of depression. Similarly, we feel sad and we get tearful. Likewise we feel empty or hopeless. Other times depression is so severe we don’t get out of bed or go to work. For some it’s a short season in live and for others it feel like an eternity. There is hope though!
To clarify there are three common areas where depression can impact our lives: mentally, physically, and socially.
