Great Lakes Wellness Counseling – Anxiety, ADHD, & Couples Counseling
Child & Teen Counseling Expert
Hello! I'm Elizabeth Jackson
Have you ever found yourself lying awake late at night wishing your mind would finally rest and remain quiet? No matter how much you try, your mind keeps replaying your day, every conversation, every regret, leaving you wondering “why did I say that?” or “why can’t I let this go?”
Maybe you feel overwhelmed and frustrated, thinking “I feel like I’m constantly behind,” or “I have so much potential, but I can’t get myself together to accomplish what I want.” You may have goals or desires for your life but feel stuck trying to understand what’s causing you to stumble.
Or perhaps you’re walking away from another fight with your significant other thinking, “every conversation just turns into an argument,” or “we just don’t understand each other anymore.”
I provide counseling for individuals and couples ages 18+.
Payment: Elizabeth is currently cash-pay only and does not bill insurance directly, as is standard for counseling interns.
When Anxiety and Old Patterns Start Running the Show
When anxiety, past experiences, self-doubt, or relationship struggles begin to shape the way you see yourself and connect with others, it can feel exhausting and isolating. Feeling stuck doesn’t mean you’re incapable of change. It may be a sign that there are deeper experiences, emotions, or patterns asking to be understood. Often, our thoughts, emotions, and patterns develop for understandable reasons.
Who I Work With
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, ADHD, trauma, self-worth struggles, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship challenges. I also work with couples who want to understand the cycles creating distance and conflict, rebuild emotional safety, and develop healthier ways of communicating and connecting. I believe therapy should meet you where you are, balancing deeper emotional exploration with practical tools that support change in everyday life.
For Individuals
First, we uncover the emotions, needs, and relationship patterns that influence the way you respond. Second, we explore how your thoughts and behaviors impact your current experiences. Finally, we work together to create new stories, healthier patterns, and meaningful change.
For Couples
First, together we identify the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and explore the deeper emotions and experiences beneath them. Second, we create healthier ways of communicating, connecting, and moving forward. Third, we build a new way to engage that fosters trust, bonding, and intimacy.
If you’re ready to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward greater connection and healing, counseling can be a place to begin that journey.

A Little More About Elizabeth Jackson
Elizabeth earned her B.A. in Communication with a focus in Biblical Studies and is currently working on her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Cornerstone University. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer and still enjoys casually applying that knowledge in her own life.
In her spare time, you’ll likely find her working out with her husband, with a particular interest in calisthenics and weightlifting. She enjoys walking and hiking with her cat, whom she’s continually training with new tricks. When she has creative energy to spare, she loves dabbling in art, music, or a new hobby, and on lower-energy days she enjoys a good mystery or comedy show, anime, or a fun multiplayer video game. She and her husband also share a love of strategy board games, and she enjoys diving into theology, particularly systematic theology, along with research on counseling and other topics that spark her curiosity. She loves sharing, teaching, and engaging with others, creating equity, challenge, and connection.
