Lea Louie, LLMSW
Child & Teen Counseling Expert
Hello! I'm Lea Louie, LLMSW
Parenting gets hard when your child’s meltdowns, mood swings, or sudden withdrawal start affecting everyday life. If home has started to feel unpredictable and you’re not sure what to try next, you’re not alone, and you haven’t failed. I work with children and teens to help them understand and express what they’re feeling, using art, games, movement, and conversation so it never feels forced. I also use CBT-based tools to help your child see how their thoughts, feelings, and actions connect, and we build coping skills they can actually use at school, at home, and in stressful moments.
I provide counseling for children and teens ages 5-13+, with practical support for parents along the way.
Lea is In-Network with the following insurance plans:
- Traditional Plans: ASR, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Priority Health, Tricare
- Medicaid/Medicare Plans: Priority Health Medicaid
(All other insurance is considered out-of-network.)

What Your Child Might Be Feeling, In Their Own Words
Meeting Kids and Teens Where They Are
A Simple Path Forward
Step 1: First Connection. We start with a parent consultation to talk through what’s been happening at home, at school, and in your child’s relationships. This helps me understand your family’s concerns and your child’s strengths.
Step 2: The Work. Every child is different, so sessions build around their comfort level, whether that’s drawing, games, movement, or straightforward conversation. We use these to help them express themselves and practice healthier responses to hard moments.
Step 3: The Goal. As we continue, the focus shifts to helping your child carry what they’re learning into daily life. You’ll also get practical ideas for supporting communication and routines at home.

A Little More About Lea Louie, LLMSW
Lea’s background is rooted in school social work, where she spent time supporting children and teens directly in the environment where many of their struggles show up first: the classroom, the hallway, the friendships, the pressure to keep up. That experience shaped how she approaches therapy now, with a strong understanding of how school, home, and emotional wellbeing are all connected for younger clients.
When she’s not in the office, Lea loves spending time with her family and her dog, Mochi. Painting has been one of her favorite hobbies since she was young, giving her a creative outlet to unwind, and she especially enjoys creating pieces connected to meaningful people, places, and memories. She also enjoys traveling, trying new foods, and getting lost in a good binge-watch.
